Long week at work. Water spilling. Lights.
Day 101 – Drops
When the sun is setting, between dusk and darkness, there is a moment when the light turns blue. And the world stops for a heartbeat.
Long week at work. Water spilling. Lights.
Raw pineapple is the only thing I’m allergic to – Something I found out the hard way years ago, after having some pineapple for lunch during work. After the pineapple is cooked, the acidity reduces and I can happily eat it to my heart’s content. Nevertheess, we rarely have pineapple in the house.
Last weekend I found a recipe I wanted to try. Luckily pineapples are in season.
Sunday was cold. Because we were travelling with Merlin, restaurants did not let us inside, so brunch was a chilly – if tasty – affair. However, a walk to a Bridal Veil waterfall warmed us right up – and made both Merlin and myself comfortably snoozy for the drive back home. Luckily, Stuart is made of stronger stuff.
Orange glass and Sprite. Happy afternoon.
The perfect teacup is big enough to hold with two hands comfortably. Smaller cups can never bring that feel of warmth. And the perfect teacup is yellow.

While waiting in a restaurant, I was playing around with my camera. This picture of a water glass captured my interest with the weird effect of light and shadow.
Getting back into the habit of taking photos has made me much more appreciative of little things. For example, I am not sure if I’ve ever before looked at a straw closely enough to realise it actually makes a little dent in the water.
The weekend becomes quite uneventful, when your husband is sick (it’s not quite the man-flu but the next worst thing…). Thus I spent my weekend reading and playing with some shapes in the water.
