Breede river is far from Johannesburg. It is almost 1,500 km away – to be exact. And that is a long way to drive.

To get to Breede before dark, we started driving at midnight. At first light of the day, out little first class passenger (the only one in the car with his own bed available for the trip) was already well used to the rhythm of driving.
